Scholar. Gerald Freedman, an award winning director of numerous
Shakespeare and other plays, was the leading director and artistic
director of the New York Shakespeare Festival and the first American
director invited to direct at the Globe Theatre in London, England.
Currently the Dean of the School of Drama at the North Carolina School
