Presentation set for Transgender Day of Remembrance

The student group Out 'N About will commemorate the seventh annual Transgender Day of Remembrance by bringing a speaker to campus who will discuss her personal experience and give insights into transgender life.¿

Delia Wolfe will speak November 21, beginning at 9 p.m., in the Kirkhof Center, Grand River Room. Wolfe is a longtime Grand Rapids resident and an adjunct design instructor at Kendall College of Art and Design. Wolfe was also one of the subjects in Mariette Pathy Allen's book, The Gender Frontier.

Transgender Day of Remebrance began in 1999 as a response to growing issue of anti-transgender violence leading to death.
