Media opportunity: GVSU students to dine with deans

More than 200 Grand Valley State University minority students will dine with deans, professors and community leaders during a unique annual event to celebrate the students' academic achievements.

The third annual Dinner with the Deans is scheduled for Wednesday, November 2, from 6-8:30 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center on GVSU's Allendale Campus. The dinner is sponsored by Grand Valley's Office of Multicultural Affairs; it is open to media coverage.

Participating students have grade point averages of 3.5 or higher and were named to the university's deans list last semester. Students will also meet area business and education leaders. Jennifer Moss, WOOD-TV 8 news anchor, will serve as the evening's emcee.
