Faculty member will share her path to success

She is now chairwoman of the Liberal Studies Department and an associate professor of philosphy, but Judy Whipps once dropped out of college after only three semesters.

She returned to college at age 38, and earned a bachelor's degree at 41. Her path as a non-traditional student (and the first in her family to attend college) will be among the topics Whipps discusses during an installment of the Her Story series. Whipps' presentation will be at noon on Wednesday, November 2, at the Holland Meijer Campus.

The series of informal discussions is sponsored jointly by the Women's Center and Women's Commission; it highlights campus women in leadership positions who talk about their career and life paths.

Participants are encouraged to bring their lunches. For more information, call the Women's Center at x12748.
