The program includes performances by New York City Ballet soloists Amanda Edge and Daniel Ullbrecht, premieres by Lisa Catrett-Belrose and a new pas de deux choreographed by Jefferson Baum, director of the GVSU Dance Program. The GVSU Dance Ensemble will also perform selections from Carmen choreographed by Calin Radulescu.
There will be two performances of the annually sold-out gala program: Friday, October 28 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, October 29 at 2 p.m., in the Louis Armstong Theatre, Performing Arts Center, Allendale Campus. Professor Julianne Vanden Wyngaard will direct a Carillon Collaborative prelude concert, on Friday from 7:20-7:50 p.m., on the Cook Carillon Plaza. A public reception follows the evening dance program.
Ticket prices are $20 general public; $10 Grand Valley faculty/staff/students with a GVSU ID; $5 children ages 12 and under. Tickets are available through Grand Valley's Louis Armstrong Theatre Box Office weekdays from 12 - 5 p.m. (in-person sales only/no phone orders).
