Civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks remembered

ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The following Grand Valley State University experts can comment on the life and legacy of civil rights icon Rosa Parks, who died in her Detroit home at the age of 92.

Veta Tucker, 616-331-3692, associate professor of English
Tucker can discuss the courage of Rosa Parks and her place in history. Tucker can also comment on who will replace the aging civil rights pioneers.

Mark Richards, 616-331-3457, associate professor of political science
Richards is an expert on civil rights and constitutional law.
