Ward to leave GVSU

Stephen Ward, director of News and Information, formerly University Communications, has resigned his position, effective April 30. He will join Huntington National Banks as vice president for public and community relations for the West Michigan Region.

Ward came to Grand Valley in 1994, having worked in broadcast journalism and as a Capitol Hill press secretary, including service on the staff of the late Congressman Paul Henry. He also served a one-year fellowship with the American Political Science Association.

'Grand Valley has been a special place, full of many great opportunities,' Ward said.

'I'm proudest of the team of great people with whom I've had the pleasure of serving, and I will miss them very much,' he added.
