Head women's golf coach Lori Stinson speaks to sports reporters at The
Meadows. The media event was held in advance of the 2002 NCAA DII
Women's Golf Championships, which will be held at The Meadows Golf Club
on May 15-18.
The Lakers will host seven other teams, each which finished first or
second in regional tournaments. Grand Valley finished second to Northern
Kentucky University in the East Regional, held May 3 and 4. Freshmen
Melissa Sneller and Shannon Briggs led the way for the Lakers as they
shot 157 and 158, respectively, which earned them fourth and fifth place
as individuals.
The Division II Championships will begin each day at 8 a.m.; admission
is free.
