Grand Valley's two performances of The Vagina Monologues have sold out, exceeding organizers' expectations for audience attendance at the groundbreaking play. A third show has been added to accommodate ongoing requests for tickets.
The new performance is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, at Wealthy Theatre, 1130 Wealthy St. SE in Grand Rapids. Tickets are $7 for students, $15 for the general public, and may be reserved by calling 895-2300 between noon and 5 p.m.
By the middle of last week, the more than 875 available seats for the February 13 and 16 shows had been sold out. The student-run production is produced, directed, and acted by more than 50 people from GVSU and the community.
