MPA program gains accreditation

The Masters of Public Administration (MPA) program at GVSU has earned accreditation through academic year 2008-2009. First accredited in 1995 and offered through the School of Public and Nonprofit Administration, the MPA has become one of the leading graduate programs in the region.

The site visit team from the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration commented in its final report that, 'In many ways the MPA program at GVSU can be seen as a model graduate program that meets its quality standards and achieves a visible presence within the West Michigan context. As such, it has built a strong reputation in the community that only brings credit to the university and paves the way for further development in acheiving its graduate education mission.'
