A recent Grand Valley State University graduate scored the highest marks
in Michigan on the 2002 CPA exam. Recently released results of the May
2002 Uniform CPA Examination showed Grandville resident Kyle D. Crockett
as the highest scorer in Michigan.
In recognition of his achievement, Crockett was given the Michigan
Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) William A. Paton
Award at its Regional Advisory Council meeting in September.

pass all four sections of the CPA Exam with the highest grade in
Michigan. Established in 1961, the Award recognizes the contributions of
the late University of Michigan Accounting Professor Emeritus William A.
Paton to the accounting profession.
Crockett received his bachelor's degree in accounting at Grand Valley
in 2002. Crockett has accepted a position in Detroit with the

beginning this fall.
