GVSU Assistant Athletic Director Dies

Grand Valley State University is deeply saddened to announce the tragic death of Rob 'Odie' Odejewski Friday (April 12) at his home. Rob was working in the basement of his home when he was overcome by carbon monoxide fumes.

Rob graduated from Grand Valley State in 1993. He was a student-athlete on the football team and after graduation he continued with the Lakers as an assistant football coach. Odie was named marketing and promotions director in 1996 and then later Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions.

Monday, April 15 -- 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Tuesday, April 16 -- 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Wednesday, April 17 -- 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. James Church (733 Bridge St. NW)

Mass at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 17 at St. James Chruch (Father Steve Cron - Celebrant), followed by Internment at Holy Cross Cemetary

Wednesday, April 17 -- 3:00 p.m. 'Tribute To Odie' Service At the Grand Valley State University Fieldhouse Arena
