The university has installed the first of two banners on its carillon towers. One now adorns the north side of the Cook Carillon Tower on the Allendale Campus, with installation of a second on the Beckering Family Carillon Tower on the Grand Rapids Campus set for Thursday at 10 a.m.The banners depict the Grand Valley unity ribbons being worn throughout the university community in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks.More than 6,000 lapel ribbons have been distributed among students, faculty, and staff members. Grand Valley's two carillon towers have become the gathering places for events amid the time of national tragedy.
