More than 1,000 people attended a black-tie tribute to retiring GVSU
President Arend D. Lubbers and his wife Nancy Thursday. The dinner was
also a fund-raiser for a new $500,000 scholarship fund named after the
presidental couple. Lubbers retires June 30 after 32 years at the helm
of Grand Valley.
