Each Saturday at 10 am, join these informal, virtual chats with upper-class Lakers about the importance of campus involvement which provides in-demand career skills. Different students will be featured each week so drop by as many Saturdays as you can!

This week's featured speaker is:

Sam Jacob (he/his/him)

Class of 2022

Major: Public Administration

Minors: Political Science and Criminal Justice

Campus Involvement: Sam is a Campus Election Engagement Project Fellow in the Community Service Learning Center, where he helps lead voter registration efforts, as well as a Cook Leadership Academy Fellow Candidate. He is also the Director of Member and Community Relations for Campus Activities Board. As well, he is the Event Coordinator for Pals Student Mentors, and the Vice President of Students Leaving a Mark (SLAM). 

First Destination After GV: Sam is hoping to apply to the graduate school here at Grand Valley and earn a Master’s in Public Administration. After that, he hopes to work in city/township government, with the eventual goal of working in state government and running for office.
