Please join us for a two day virtual conference that will continue the dialogue around masculinity and its intersections with survivorship, race, gender-based violence, and much more. Each day will feature a national keynote speaker, a community keynote speaker, and student leader presentations. There will be an opportunity each day to win prizes and connect with your Laker community!

Thursday, February 11th keynote speaker: ALOK (they/them) is a gender non-conforming performance artist, writer, educator, and entertainer. Their eclectic sense of style, political comedy, and poetic challenge to the gender binary have been internationally renowned. They are the author of Femme in Public and Beyond the Gender Binary

Friday, February 12th keynote speaker: Clint Smith (he/him)  is staff writer at The Atlantic and the author of Counting Descent, which won the 2017 Literary Award for Best Poetry Book from the Black Caucus of the American Library Association and was a finalist for an NAACP Image Award. Clint is a 2014 National Poetry Slam champion, previously taught high school English in Prince George’s County, and received his Ph.D. in Education from Harvard University.
