GVSU SDS is excited to present Queer Rave: A celebration of all things queer, we have a live DJ, pizza , drinks, and admission is FREE! Dress up (or dont) in your best outfits, and get ready to dance the night away with us! The Queer Rave began in the spring of 2023 as a means to celebrate queer joy on campus in midst of a wave of national transphobia, and a transphobic speaker on GVSU campus. It's an inclusive event for LGBTQ students and allies, that specifically highlights music by and for the queer community. It's an energetic rave filled with upbeat music, dancing, plenty of food, and an overwhelmingly welcoming atmosphere.
Doors are at 7:30, music from 8-10, see y'all there!
WARNING: There will be flashing lights, including strobing, along with loud music. Earplugs will be available.

GVSU SDS is a chapter of New Students for a Democratic Society. We are a national, multi-issue, progressive student organization with over 40 chapters all across the United States. We stand against US wars and intervention, racist discrimination, police crimes, homophobic and transphobic attacks, attacks on women, attacks on reproductive rights, and much more. SDS was refounded in 2006 after protests against the US invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, by students who were inspired by the powerful anti-war movement built by Students for a Democratic Society in the 1960's and 1970's.
We host protests and other direct actions on campus to show students that they have the power to win policies for a better campus and to move society as a whole in defense of progressive social movements.
