The Center for Women & Gender Equity (CWGE) is hosting the mixer so women of color GVSU students can network, get support, resources, and be in community with professionals that look like them. It is a social/causal event to hear about the impact of mentorship, visibility, and the importance of social support for students of color. The vision is for our students to network and build contacts and possibly long lasting connections. The event is open to GVSU women of color students, faculty/staff, and community members. Food and refreshments will be available. -INT 100/201 APPROVED

Full Schedule:
3:45 PM-4:00 PM: Registration
4:00 PM-4:30 PM: Networking over appetizers and refreshments
4:30 PM-5:00 PM: Welcome and presentation on mentorship, visibility, and importance of social support for students of color
5:00 PM-5:30 PM: Group breakout activity and discussion
5:30 PM-6:15 PM: Speed networking tabling
6:15 PM-6:30 PM: Closing remarks, toast, photo booth and vendor tables available
