The Community Service Learning Center (CSLC) provides community service, civic engagement, and co-curricular service learning opportunities for GVSU students to serve our local community. We serve as a campus clearinghouse and resource for students and student organizations, as well as provide support to faculty and staff for related initiatives.

The Peter C. Cook Leadership Academy is a leadership development program for 60+ undergraduate and graduate students during the academic year. The program is co-curricular and cross-disciplinary putting our student fellow candidates through a rigorous curriculum of training, assessment, and practice designed to instill leadership excellence. Candidates are admitted to the Cook Leadership Academy for one or more years. Each applicant must meet the criteria of high academic achievement, active involvement in the campus community, dedication to the public good, a passion to lead, and a commitment to personal growth.
