This camp is for teens who wish they had more time for self-expression outside of school. Students who register for this camp and will be entering grades 9-12 in the fall. Our leaders curate a collection of poems, essays, and stories that make readers want to laugh and cry. Together the group notices how powerful texts are crafted, then writers set off to draft their own. Writers workshop their pieces and share their progress.
The camp will meet on GVSU's Grand Rapids Pew Campus, Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Non-refundable payment is required to hold your spot. Tuition includes a t-shirt, notebook, and snacks provided each day of camp.
Summer Writing Camps is an outreach effort by the Lake Michigan Writing Project at GVSU to nurture young writers.
