Laker Neuro Levels Up: GVSU Alum Partners with Blue Nucleus to Expand Her Business's Digital Reach

When Rochelle Fintelman, a GVSU alum and founder of Laker Neuro LLC, needed a website to support the growth of her neurofeedback consultancy, she turned to an innovative resource close to home — Blue Nucleus, Grand Valley’s student-powered software consultancy.
Laker Neuro had already been operating successfully, offering neurofeedback services to support cognitive wellness and mental health. But as the business grew, so did the need for a professional, accessible, and informative website that could clearly communicate the value of neurofeedback and help clients connect with Rochelle’s services.
Enter Blue Nucleus, and specifically Natalie Kline, a GVSU computing graduate student and developer who led the website build. The collaboration resulted in lakerneuro.com, a polished, mobile-friendly site that highlights the science and benefits of neurofeedback while maintaining a welcoming, client-centered tone.
“Blue Nucleus delivered exactly what I needed — a clean, professional website that makes it easy for potential clients to learn about neurofeedback and get in touch,” said Fintelman. “As a GVSU alum, I really appreciated the chance to give back in a way that also helped a student gain real-world experience. It was a win-win.”
Kline worked closely with Fintelman to understand the business, clarify messaging, and build a site that could scale with Laker Neuro’s future goals.
“I’ve worked on client projects before, but this one stood out because of the trust and creative freedom I was given,” Kline said. “Being the project lead meant I got to manage everything from planning to deployment, which really sharpened both my technical and professional skills.”
For Fintelman, the project represented more than just getting a website built — it was about investing in her brand while strengthening her connection to GVSU and supporting the next generation of professionals.
And for Blue Nucleus, it was another successful demonstration of what’s possible when talented students and West Michigan entrepreneurs team up.
