Taste of Asia - Hosted by Asian Student Union & ASAP

Friday October 6 | 6:00pm - 9:00pm | Niemeyer Multipurpose Area

The Taste of Asia fundraiser features a variety of Asian food from all over the continent and proceeds benefit Grand Rapids Asian Pacific Foundation.  Attendees can purchase a one-way train ride ticket which gets them one plate to fill with whatever food they desire or can enter the Spicy Ramen Challenge.  ASU welcomes all students to come out and hang with them while enjoying plenty of games, music, and great company.

RSVP through the QR code on the flyer by October 4th for a discounted ticket.

Asian New Year Festival - Hosted by ASAP and Asian Student Union

Enjoy a spectacular festival that showcases the traditional Asian New Year celebration. The event highlights the richness and diversity of Asia by featuring an assortment of Asian ethnic cuisine and traditional performances including a lion dance, cultural fashion show and a variety of Asian ethnic dances.

Asian Authors/Topics Reception - Hosted by Asian Faculty & Staff Association & East Asian Studies Program

Thursday February 29th | 5:00pm - 6:30pm | Kirkhof Center Room 2266

This event will provide a platform to recognize and honor the publications and creative works of Asian faculty and staff, as well as publications with Asian related topics and themes. There will be a  group of six presenters who will share their interesting research ranging from "Medieval Chinese literature to understanding how exercise can affect those with Parkinson's Disease to Reevaluating gender dynamics in transnational marriages...."
