The Department of Writing number is 616-331-3411 ONE TENURE-TRACK: WritingWriting: The Department of Writing at Grand Valley State University is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor in writing beginning August, 2010. A Ph.D. or terminal degree or international equivalent is preferred by time of employment. The typical teaching load is 3 courses per semester. ABD with a completion date of December 31, 2010 may be considered for hire at the Instructor level. Candidates are required to have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

With this hire, the Writing Department is looking to further Grand Valley’s tradition of innovation and national leadership in undergraduate writing programs. The Department of Writing (200 writing majors) offers a unique and dynamic undergraduate degree program offering a B.A. in Writing that includes both creative and professional writing courses encouraging multi-genre study.
