The mission of the West Michigan Women's Studies Council is to increase awareness of gender issues and to work together to enhance the lives of women in our region. 

       Formed in 2001, the WMWCS is a consortium of professional women from six area colleges and universities (Davenport University Grand Valley State University, Aquinas College, Calvin College, Hope College, and Grand Rapids Community College) and from the Grand Rapids community.
