Work varies from day to day, but it can include transplanting, weeding, fencing, cutting flowers, mowing, harvesting, pest control, preserving vegetables, and miscellaneous other tasks. Because student schedules are varied due to classes, we will work to help the right candidates with a flexible schedule, but we do ask that you are willing to actively participate in developing a mutually beneficial schedule. Day to day work requires balancing a number of responsibilities, including directing volunteers, keeping production records, and physical labor. It is a great opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing small-scale farming and getting involved in sustainable agriculture. Though previous experience with growing food and working with others is preferred, it is not required.
