About

Cindy supervises the OSL student employees, offers assistance with Laker Link software, oversees access cards for student media, oversees vehicle rental process for student organizations, handles OSL deposits, completes grade checks for Student Senate and student organizations, and supports major OSL events such as student trainings, Commencement, Convocation, Grad Fest, Presidents' Ball, Campus Life Night, Family Weekend and more. Cindy has been with GVSU since 1991 working for the School of Criminal Justice, Police Academy and Legal Studies Program as well as for Seidman Undergrad Advising. After 12 years at Grand Valley, she resigned to be home full time with her children, manage the company financials for her family business, and enjoy a variety of volunteering.  After 12 years at home, she returned to Grand Valley in 2014 to the CLAS Dean’s Office and just recently joined the Office of Student Life. Cindy earned an associate’s degree from Davenport University in 1991 and continues her education in life coaching/women’s ministry.  Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family and friends, reading, traveling, and sports.
