Please note: All students seeking teacher certification will need to pass a criminal background check before being recommended to the Michigan Department of Education. Information regarding initial Professional Teacher Certification and Renewal of a Provisional Teaching Certificate

Teacher Certification Application Instructions
Students must apply online directly through the Michigan Department of Education's website: MOECS.

Teacher Certification - Work Experience Report Form for Michigan Professional Education Certification.
If you are applying for a Professional Teacher Certification, this form must be completed by the Superintendent or Chief Official of the employing school district or school, and returned to the Registrar's Office.
