Psychology is the science of mind and behavior. This basic and applied science includes the study of thought, action, and emotion. Psychologists study how people influence and interact with one another, how they develop, and the role that biological mechanisms play in psychological processes.
The Psychology Department is part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Psychology Research Colloquium
The Psychology Research Colloquium Committee hosts a series of weekly presentations of research in psychological science. GVSU psychology faculty as well as faculty outside the university are invited to present their research. We conclude each semester with Student Presentation Day where GVSU students present the research they have been involved with.
