Jordan Meagher

Jordan Meagher graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2016, with a major in Public and Nonprofit Administration, a minor in Political Science, and an Undergraduate Certificate in Sustainable Urban and Regional Planning. While attending GVSU, Jordan was involved in multiple student organizations. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, served as the club president for GVSU College Democrats, and was inducted into the Pi Alpha Alpha National Honors Society for Public Administration students. Jordan appreciates the interest and involvement of his professors, who saw his potential and worked to connect him with opportunities that generated the confidence needed to enter a competitive field of local government administration.

After graduation, Jordan went on to attend the University of Michigan-Flint. There he received his Master of Public Administration degree in 2020. Jordan's impressive work history includes working as the Community Development Coordinator for Allegan, Michigan (2017-2019) and the City Planner for Wyoming, Michigan (2019-2023). In both roles, Jordan was responsible for administering and making amendments to city codes related to land use, overseeing the review of site plans and other zoning review requests, and supporting several municipal boards.

Today, Jordan is working as a Parks Planner for Metro Nashville and Davidson County in Tennessee. Jordan is responsible for the planning, design, and construction of the public park’s facilities across all 121 parks throughout the Nashville Metro Area.
