Welcome to the MoneySmart Lakers website! Our goal is to provide you with the tools and resources to help  you understand your finances, and to help develop or define your money management skills.

Take charge of your money by learning more about . . .

  • Managing your Money is easier when you have a plan. “Budgeting” does not have to be a dirty word!
  • Credit is just as important as your academic GPA. Think of your score as your “financial” GPA. The higher the score, the better.
  • Credit Cards & Loans can help build a good credit history. They are convenient, but are not a source of additional income. Learn to borrow wisely!
  • Insurance is important and can provide vital protection during years when you cannot.
