Classic Fare Dining - Planning Information A final guest count is required 3 business days prior to your event. The final guest count cannot be decreased, however, we may be able to accommodate increases. If a final guest count is not received 3 business days prior to the event, Conference & Event Planning will consider your last communicated guest count to be the final guest count. All catering functions will be billed at 100% of the final guest count. Event Cancellations You may cancel your event up to 5 business days prior to the scheduled time of the event at no charge. Events canceled with less than 5 business days notice will be billed for costs incurred up to 100% of the total bill Length of Service All catering menu prices are based on 2 hours of food service. A flat rate of $30.00/server/hour will be assessed for service extending beyond the 2-hour period. Catering Delivery Minimum Order $25.00 minimum order - Weekdays, 7am-5pm Catering services required outside the stated hours of operation will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Service Fees / Other Charges An 20% gratuity will be added to all affiliate events. Late charges will occur when catered events are planned less than 3 business days in advance. These charges will be 10% of the total cost of the event with a minimum of $10.00. All events are subject to a (6%) six percent Michigan State sales tax where applicable. Beverage Service Grand Valley State University is authorized by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission to provide licensed beverage services at The Richard M. DeVos Center. Alcoholic beverage service is licensed in select areas of the Pew Campus, and is available for scheduled events only with specific invitation for invited guests of the function not open to the public. Licensed beverages are provided in conformance with the requirements of the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. Grand Valley State University is responsible for all liquor provisions and sales; no liquor may otherwise be made available or brought on the premises. |
