If your department is going to design envelopes with your department name printed on the return address, please follow this format in the upper left hand corner:

GRAND VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY
CHEMISTRY DEPARTMENT (account number F-O-P)
1 CAMPUS DRIVE
ALLENDALE, MI 49401

Remember - The return address cannot fall in the yellow OCR READ AREA of the USPS clear template. Call Steve Leeser at 13850 if you do not have a template.

Dark or neon color envelopes do not work well with the post office's optical readers.
