The English Department at Grand Valley State University houses 29 Tenured and Tenure-track faculty members, 1 Affiliate faculty, 3 Visiting faculty and approximately 9 part-time faculty per semester.

The English Department offers 5 undergraduate Majors and 2 Master’s Programs:

  • English BA – Language Arts with Education Major and elementary certification minor (252 currently enrolled)
  • English BA – Secondary Education with Education Major (Teachable minor required) (144 currently enrolled)

  • Master of Arts in English (22 currently enrolled)
  • Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics (17 currently enrolled)
