November 2023 Board of Trustees Update

On November 3, 2023, the GVSU Board of Trustees acted on only one item related to GVSU-authorized charter public schools.
During the meeting, the Board approved the appointments and reappointments of 15 total charter school board members. The GVSU Charter Schools Office is thankful for the 7 board members who renewed their service to their community school, and is excited to welcome the following 8 individuals as new board members for GVSU-authorized charter schools:
- Thomas McGough -- Black River Public School
- Taliah Abdullah -- Flint Cultural Center Academy
- Kimberly Pritchett -- Fostering Leadership Academy
- Murat Kara -- Michigan Mathematics and Science Academy
- Cherilyn Brown -- Paragon Charter Academy
- Alisha Meneely -- PrepNet Virtual Academy
- Luis Pardo - The Greenspire School
- Joseph Curtis -- Timberland Charter Academy
