Moving from a Provisional to a Professional Certificate?

As of  July 1, 2009, the MDE requires credit an approved course in the diagnois and remediation of reading disabilities and differentiated instruction, including field experience,  before  graduate students obtain their professional teaching certificates. The College of Education offers EDR 612 for elementary teachers or EDR 613 for secondary teachers. Special Education candidates may take both EDS 636 and EDS 638 to satisfy the new reading requirement. See your COE advisor to update your planned program. View course descriptions.
