About
I've spent most of my life in Northern Michigan, growing up at the northern tip of the Lower Peninsula and most recently moving from the beautiful Upper Peninsula. While I love the nature and being close to the water, moving to Grand Rapids felt a bit like coming home as I found a community and fell in love with the city when I was a Grand Valley student myself! I earned my Bachelors in Sociology and Psychology from Central Michigan University and my Master's in Higher Education from GVSU. I enjoy the work I get to do with students and am energized by the passion and excitement they bring to our conversations where I get to be a small part of their success here at Grand Valley. In my time away from the office I'm usually reading, playing board games with friends, exploring the city, taking improv classes, or out in the backyard with our two dogs!
Advising Areas: Behavioral Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences, Exercise Science (Clinical/Health Fitness Instruction), Preprofessional (prechiropractic, predental, premedical, preoptometry, and prepodiatry), and Psychology.
