About
I have been with the CLAS Academic Advising Center since September 2012 as working with science and preprofessional students, and have been working in health professions advising for around 15 years. I love working with science and health professions students because of their compassion, drive, and desire to help others! In addition to advising students, I also coordinate events and workshops for the CLAS Advising Center, and advise the Pre-Med Club. I grew up in the Grand Rapids area and attended Grand Valley for both my undergraduate and graduate studies (#LakerforaLifetime!). I have a B.S. in Psychology, a minor in Criminal Justice, and an M.Ed. in Adult and Higher Education/College Student Affairs Leadership. Outside of work, most of my time is spent with my partner, kids, and our VERY energetic mini Australian shepherd, Ella!
