The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences in association with the Art & Design Department, School of Communications, and Music Department will host a Silent Art Auction of works in various media by GVSU faculty and students. All proceeds of the Silent Auction will benefit the Alexander Calder Scholarship for students in the fine arts. Venue: Dining Room of Alumni House, Allendale Campus Date: Saturday, October 17, 2009 Homecoming Time: 2:00pm-5:00pm viewing and bidding; 5:15pm -6:00pm winners announced and pick up Art: paintings, photography, ceramics and other media. Created in July 2004, CLAS is the largest of GVSU's colleges and offers almost 50 bachelors degrees (and a growing number of advanced degrees) in the natural and mathematical sciences, humanities, the fine and performing arts, and the social sciences. GVSU undergraduates in all fields build the foundation for their major studies in general education courses offered by our College.
