GVPD RUN-HIDE-FIGHT

Brandon DeHaan, director of public safety and chief of police, said the video helps illustrate the Run/Hide/Fight model, offering Lakers options to consider and the ability to create a plan if ever confronted with violence.

“Having this knowledge builds confidence with members of our community in their ability to immediately recognize danger and respond by implementing their plan of action without hesitation,” said DeHaan.

Preparing for an emergency before one occurs makes all the difference in helping to protect yourself and others, DeHaan said.

The videos can be viewed on the GVPD website or the GVSU emergency website.
