Description
Working with community partners to help solve problems often involves
data collection, surveys, and interviews. When is community-
based
learning “research” and when is Human Research Review Committee
approval needed? How do you work with HRRC in the short 14 week
confines of the semester course? How can your data be used in
reporting to the partner, disciplinary peers, the community, and to
broader audiences? This colloquium will provide insight into the HRRC
process for community based learning courses and with experiences
shared by faculty doing community based research in the classroom.
