Raphael is the author of the recently released, Assault With a Deadly Lie (a novel in the Nick Hoffman series). He has also written My Germany, A Jewish Writer Returns to the World His Parents Escaped, Journeys & Arrivals: On Being Gay and Jewish, and two dozen other novels and memoirs.
