The Animals of Hurricane Katrina: How animal advocates came together to save over 8,000 left behind animals, Jen Self-Aulgur - Humane Society of West MI became a part of the largest animal rescue to date when Hurricane Katrina hit and thousands of people were forced to leave their furry friends behind to an uncertain fate.  Learn what happened, how we helped in Michigan, and how eventually the case changed policy for future disasters.
