New CMS Site Request

CMS sites are available for GVSU departmental use only. Use of a CMS site for any of the following purposes is strictly prohibited: 

  • Student Organizations - The Office of Student Life provides support for student organizations online through LakerLink. If you have questions, please contact rso@gvsu.edu.
  • Faculty Research / Faculty Websites - Information Technology provides web server space to Faculty for personal sites, sites dedicated to research, or ongoing projects. For more information contact helpdesk@gvsu.edu.
  • Course Related Material / Projects - Computing provides support for all course-related material that may need to be available online through Blackboard. For more information please contact bbadmin@gvsu.edu.

If a CMS site is found with the above content it will be subject to immediate removal.

 

According to the GVSU Web Accessibility Policy, no new content will be published that does not meet the WCAG 2.0 AA standards. Prior to a CMS site being published, a review of all content, modules, and images will be conducted, and any found issues will be reported for correction. For more information about this visit the GVSU Web Accessibility site.

The name of the website. e.g. Reach Higher 2025, Student Accounts, Veteran Promise, etc. 

The folder your website will be set up in. e.g. gvsu.edu/yoursite/


Websites intended for the general public should be created on www.gvsu.edu.

If you have content that is not appropriate for the general public or is intended specifically for internal audiences only (e.g. HR documentation and procedures), you may want to consider a site on Intranet to house that information.
