Spooky Season at Grand Valley: Getting the Most Out of Your Halloween

Grand Valley is haunted! The spirit of Halloween is quickly spreading all throughout the Allendale area. If you’re dying to have some fun this spooky season, check out this list of frighteningly fun tricks and treats for you to enjoy this fall. Prepare to sink your teeth into these on-campus and off-campus activities!


Moonlight Manor Haunted House

Wyoming’s very own Moonlight Manor promises to give you major fright as spirits of the undead lurk around every corner, their spine-chilling scares awaiting your bloodcurdling screams. Be prepared to explore over 1,700 acres and nearly 600 feet of terror this Halloween.

Snacks & Relax with Student Affairs

The Division of Student Affairs is hosting a Snacks & Relax event where you can enjoy cider and donuts and meet different staff. Come to the Kirkhof Center Lounge from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Oct. 30 or the DeVos Center from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Oct. 31 for some classic fall fun!

Interactive Rocky Horror Picture Show

Head to the Grand River Room in Kirkhof on October 30 at 9 p.m. for an interactive showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show! Feel free to bring props, costumes, and all of your friends!

Moelker Orchards

Go apple picking, enjoy a hay ride, and indulge in some fudge at Moelker Orchards in Grand Rapids. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy some old-fashioned fall pastimes.

RecWell Halloween Dance Party

Are you ready to shake your boo-ty at the Recreation Center’s Halloween Dance Party? The fun takes place on Wednesday, October 30 from 8-9:15 p.m. in Courts 4 and 5 in the Rec Center. You are also encouraged to bring non-perishable foods to help restock the GVSU food pantry. So bring some canned goods, your spookiest Halloween costume, and your coolest dance moves!
