Presidents’ Ball 2019: The Grandest Show will be held on February 1, 2019 at the DeVos Place Ballroom! Join us for cocktail hour starting at 5:45 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:15 p.m. Those with dietary restrictions rest assured; you will be accommodated. The entire dinner menu, aside from dessert, is gluten-free, and you can contact the Office of Student Life if you have any questions. For those of drinking age, there will be a cash bar. There is no ATM on site, so make sure you have cold-hard cash and your ID. To get into the dance, you will need to present your ticket and either your student or state ID. The dance itself begins at 8:30 p.m., and the tunes will continue on until 12:30 a.m., but doors close at 10 p.m. so don’t be tardy to the party! There will also be swing dancing, a photo booth, and a candy table for your enjoyment.

We know what you’re thinking, “OMG, this sounds like so much fun, but my BF/GF/SO doesn’t go to Grand Valley, because they’re not cool like me, can they come?” The answer is yes. As long as you, a cool Grand Valley student, purchase their ticket, you are more than welcome to bring your date. Just don’t forget to bring your IDs! Now you’re saying, “Wow, what a cool event that I would love to attend, but I live on campus and don’t have a car… How can I get all the way to DeVos Place?” The Office of Student Life has you covered and will be running charter buses to and from the event departing from both Allendale and Pew campus! Tickets for this year’s Presidents’ Ball go on sale on January 14.
