VAGTC hosts Auto Suppliers Symposium

A Toyota executive will be the keynote speaker at the 17th West Michigan Automotive Suppliers Symposium, hosted by the Van Andel Global Trade Center.

The event will be held March 10, from 8 a.m.-noon, in Loosemore Auditorium in the DeVos Center.

Keynote speaker Deb Schroeder, purchasing general manager at Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America (TEMA), will begin her presentation at 11 a.m. 

Schroeder is responsible for the procurement of all interior, exterior, and seating components utilized in North American vehicles. Prior to her current position, she was general manager in strategic planning, supporting regional strategy for Toyota North America related to sales, manufacturing and research and development. 

Other speakers include Chris Hall from Motus Integrated Technology, Noel Cuellar from Primera Plastics, and Mike Wall from IHS Automotive.

The theme for this year's symposium is "Powering the Pipeline" with presenters addressing topics like mergers and acquisitions, talent fulfillment and new innovations.

The yearly event brings together business owners, senior management and decision makers from all tiers of the industry, providing the most up-to-date automotive forecasts, trends and opportunities to network and learn from others.
