Haas testifies before legislative committee

Grand Valley President Thomas J. Haas testified Wednesday, March 2 before the Higher Education Appropriations Subcommittees of the House and Senate and addressed resource allocation and programs that Grand Valley offers with high employer demand.

Haas was accompanied by Student Senate President Maddie Cleghorn, who also addressed the committee.

During his testimony, Haas reminded committee members of Grand Valley's performance statistics, and asked that they apply performance metrics to the base appropriation for the university, and add an element that counts changes in enrollment in appropriation decisions.
