GVSU camp introduces girls to growing field of computing

Area middle school girls learned about the growing fields of computing and robotics at a Grand Valley State University camp August 4-8.
At “Get with the Program,” campers learned how to program and build Lego Robots, and create 3-D movies. They also visited area companies that specialize in automation systems.
The camp, hosted by the School of Computing and Information Systems, took place in Mackinac Hall. It is part of a continuum of technology-based opportunities for female students interested in engineering and computing careers.
