Men's hockey competes for national title

The Men’s Hockey Club at Grand Valley will compete for the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division II National Championship title on Tuesday, March 19, in St. Louis.

The team advanced to the final championship on March 18 after competing against Illinois State University and winning, 1-0. The Office of Student Life will host a free watch party of the final championship game against Michigan State University in Area 51, located in the lower level of the Kirkhof Center. The game starts at 7 p.m.

This is the third year in a row the Men’s Hockey Club advanced to the ACHA Championship. Grand Valley won the national title in 2011 after competing against Michigan State.
