Lunch lectures focus on African diaspora

Sponsored by Area Studies, African Diaspora Conversations will begin next week and continue through the winter semester.

Steeve Buckridge, director of Area Studies, will give a presentation, “Black Skin, White Mask? Race, Class and the Politics of Dress in 19th Century Jamaican Society,” on Monday, January 23, noon, in the Kirkhof Center, rooms 2215/2216. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunches; light refreshments will be provided.
